The Queen of Holiday Dinners
Patsy Dubois had the perfect mix of friends who appreciated a delightful, holiday dinner at Patsy’s tables in the country. We were blesses with a boatload of appetizers, of course her stuffed squash blossoms and a delicious meal of fried chicken, coleslaw, fruit salad, cornbread and cold gazpacho. The festive, decorated Easter cookies took center stage as the highlight of the meal. I know I ate my fair share and then some. I didn't take many pictures; I was too busy eating.
When I asked why the gazpacho looked different from her usual, cold soup, she replied “because I make it different each time; I don’t follow a recipe.” So there you have it. No same old same old for this gal who is busy teaching cooking classes, building new properties on her ranch, beautifying her gardens and really enjoying life.
There’s plenty of things to be grateful for when you’re invited to a holiday dinner at Patsy’s and I’m convinced that SMA remembers being at her holiday tables at least once since she started throwing Easter celebrations back in 2007.
Thanks for all of the great memories to the Queen of holiday dinners in SMA. Love you Patsy DeBois.
