Excited that I just found my new favorite PM spot - the bar in the Hacienda de Guadalupe Hotel.
The huge draw every
Thursday night at 8 PM is the music.
What did I love besides
the music? Two for one drinks for a total of 80 pesos or $6.17 (who said this
place is expensive?), no cover charge and best element yet – a retractable
ceiling to give you that al fresco feeling all night long. The night breeze was
heavenly.
In fact, a lot of the
restaurants and bars in San Miguel have the retractable ceilings.
The crowd was a mix of
old and young and most were on the dance floor the entire time the music was
playing. That says a lot about the band.
The Hacienda de
Guadalupe is a charming hotel located at Hidalgo No. 4 in the center of town.
The bar offers a wide variety of tequilas and Mezcales, an extensive
cocktail menu and a generous selection of wines, both national and imported. I
love the fact that more bars here are serving national wines from the Valle de
Guadalupe.
If you want a little
taste of Cuba, you’ll find it at the Hacienda de Guadalupe. The massive
archways, stunning palm trees and sassy Cuban sound will take you there and you
don’t even have to pack a suitcase.
Buen Apetito!
