We got the prime seat in the house – right in front of the fireplace. A cozy place for family conversation and not your usual breakfast. With thick cuts of bacon (caramelized in brown sugar and to die for) and gouda hash browns, I was chowing down next to my niece who simply had an order of sausage. Lucky for me, she was full after two and she tossed the last one on my plate. Of course I ate it…all in the name of the blog!
Starting out with popovers and maple butter sold me on this restaurant. They were almost as good as my mother’s.
What impressed me most about Hazellwood is the fresh, high quality ingredients. When I saw what was on the menu for lunch and dinner, I would have been content to stay and eat my way through the entire day.
Bon Appetit!
